1:20 pm – G. Cobb reports that Jeremiah is currently addressing the team out on the practice field at the NovaCare complex.
This is very out of the ordinary for a pre-season release, but obviously takes into account all that Trotter has meant to the organization and his teammates. Omar Gaither had been making the defensive calls for the defense in Trotter's place.
1:27 pm – Andy Reid expressed his regret on having to let Trotter go at an on-the-field press conference, again a stark deviation from his usual press conferences which are held in the NovaCare Auditorium. He noted Trotter's great play for the team and great leadership during his two stints in Philadelphia.
1:30 pm – Brian Dawkins, Takeo Spikes, Mike Caldwell (a former teammate of Trotters) are in attendance as Trotter prepares to speak.
