As if Andy Reid didn't have enough problems. A.J. Feeley broke a finger on his left hand, now the Eagles have to make a decision at QB. Do they really feel comfortable with the rookie Kevin Kolb as the backup?
Can you have an effective defense with Chris Gocong as your strong side linebacker? This kid can't make a tackle in space to save his life. Simple passes to the backs in the flat are turned into 15 yard gains by his missed tackles. I know it would be humbling for the staff to admit this might be an experiment gone awry.
Can you have a safety who has as much trouble tackling as Sean Considine? He may have put on some weight but he still can't tackle backs with size and tight ends. They treat him like an 18 wheeler does a rabbit on the expressway.
What should he do at the back up defensive tackle positions where veterans Ian Scott and Monte Reagor have seen litle time because of injuries? Both of them are coming off of off season knee surgeries. Also second year defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey hasn't played much because of high ankle sprain. Should the Birds make room for him?
They will probably hang on to C.J. Gaddis because Marcus Parschal strained his hamstring. I thought Parschal had won the job as the fourth safety but the severity of the hamstring injury could make a difference.
Snapper Jon Dorenbos may be a better magician than he is a long snapper. He is inconsistent. Dorenbos snaps the ball on the ground too often for any one to have confidence in him. I think his inconsistency is bothering kicker David Akers. Do you keep him or will the team have to lose sleep worrying about him?
Australian punter Saverio Rocca is clearly the best punter on the ball club but do they feel confident that he can do the job as a holder. Clearly David Akers is not confident and comfortable with their holding situation. Should they go with Rocca or Dirk Johnson as their punter and holder?
Should they go with Jeremy Bloom as their punter returner even though he doesn't look like he's got a clue? The kid has no idea of how to attack a coverage. Bloom isn't much a threat back there. Greg Lewis doesn't look competent back their either. He catches a punt on the two yard line.
The special teams don't look sharp.
What are the other moves they should make?
