Andy Reid made it clear before a news conference here in Philly that he wasn't going to answer questions about the legal troubles of his sons. On Wednesday, Andy did a conference call with Green Bay reporters and fielded a question about his sons' troubles.
The following comments were in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"Focused on football
In a conference call with local reporters, former Packers assistant coach and current Eagles coach Andy Reid was asked if football was an escape for him from the arrests of his two sons, one for drug and gun offenses and the other for a drug offense.
"Not that it's an escape," Reid said. "I'm not trying to escape anything, but I think it's always exciting when you have an opportunity here to play. And there's just something about football season that's a neat deal."
Reid took a five-week leave of absence in February to spend time with his family.
Two weeks ago, one of the two sons, Britt, was arrested again and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, three drug violations and careless driving."
