As you would expect, Eagles fans aren't happy about this last performance by Andy Reid and his football team. Some of them want to see some changes and I don't blame them.

You listed out all the issues. However there is one issue that has not been stressed. Donovan knows the offensive line and he knows the receivers, so how long will it take him to understand he’s a full step slower than he was a year ago and that he can’t out run anyone? How long will it take for him to realize that he needs to get rid of the ball in a 1-2-3 manner? How long will it take him not to protect his blind side especially after the 1st quarter or the 1st 4 sacks? I too would not trust those receivers, but you have to throw the ball their way or out of bound after 3 of the fastest seconds. We can blame the coaches, but this guy is no rookie.
I agree with your assessment on Reid. He’s clearly not the coach he was in the past. You can only wonder how much his boys had to do with the new 100% Reid. How could he have left Justice for the whole game like that? How could he have kept in Mahe when you have bigger guys like Hunt and Tapeh to pick up the blitz? How could you not have 2 TE & 2 backs on every play after the first 4 sacks? How could you not have a 5 WR set with crazy crossing routes so that Donovan could get rid of it in 1 second? How could you not bunch up the receivers and set plays for natural picks and more crossing routes? Most of all how could you not run Buck and Hunt into the ground when the Giants showed no ability to consistently stop the run? Those 50% pass/ 50% run stats are very deceiving. These guys never have a balance for crucial drives or when the game is in the balance. If I were the opposing team and felt that the game was even remotely close, I would tell my D to rush rush rush the passer, cause you know these guys are gonna pass pass pass. They tend to run during the most meaningless parts of every game. It’s like Glenn Robinson’s career 20 point average. You know it happens during garbage time.
Unacceptable. Just inexcusable. I may have never played a down of college football, but when thing aren’t working, you change and change and change until you find something that sticks. This is a copy cat league, they need to copy someone else plan cause their innovative plans don’t work. There is something seriously wrong with the week in and week out preparation with this team. Unlike anything I have ever seen before. If Gruden can win with Bruce Gradkowski, how can the eagles not win with Donovan. I want to see changes, not because I think Reid is a bad coach. In fact I think is an overall good coach. However, here is the fundamental issue. This philosophy is average at best. It neither does a great job with the run or the pass. You have either be great like the Rams, 49ers etc… or the Pittsburgh. Tweaner philosophies never do much. The patriots won the first SB with a subpar RB. But they ran and ran, even though Smith only averaged like 3 yards a carry, but the ran and ran like Forrest Gump.
Time for a new Philosphy. The Gold or Gold plated standard no longer works.

Andy Reid has no ability to make adjustments during a season let alone in a game a game. Where is his head. With an injured quarterback, an inexperienced left offensive tackle, McNaab is fith in the league in passing attempts. Reid has to be the slowest thinker or the most stubborn idiot. Doesn't anyone challenge him or does he hire and encourage total yes men. He has lost at least two games for the Eagles this season. I am sick and tired of hearing " I have to do a better job of putting the players in the right position to do the right thing bla bla bla! How can his players have any confidence in him as a decision maker. Now that the coaching in the division is much better, we will see the real Andy Reid.Six automatic division wins are a thing of the past. The play of the Eagles is an embarrasment but the coaching is non existent. Reid has wasted McNaab's
most productive years by not providing him with adequate support. In the Eagles attempt to be so
slick in negoating contracts and choosing players , they have out-foxed themselves and are headed straight to the bottom. Reid needs to go back to BYU. Reid needs to use Tony Dungee as a role model and the Colts as the Gold Standard. Every time they play the Colts, they are destroyed.

How many times this season are we gonna hear Andy Reid say he screwed up? That was the most pathetic play calling on the offensive side of the ball that I have seen in a long time. To think that the Eagles have gotten worse in the play-calling department as the season has gone along is amazing. That to me makes it seem like the coaching staff just isn't getting it. Ruining the good things that we are actually doing on defense. Andy Reid has no respect from his players anymore and its time the organization realized that. How do you respect a overweight head coach that makes all the wrong moves? Andy Reid is one of the most arrogant coaches in the league and I have no idea why he's so arrogant. His offensive style needs to be put on the shelf. In the NFL when you do the same thing over and over again you get shut down. Thats how it is. When Andy first started with the Birds it was all new, now it is not new. You play the Eagles you know you have to get a pass rush, its pretty much as simple as that for a defensive game plan against the Eagles. The only way you lose is if you get no pass rush. So what did the Giants do….BLITZ every play. What did the Eagles do, pass every play. Andy Reid doesn't seem to understand that, I guess its just too tough to change plays. What amazes me is that NFL coaches spend what 12 hours a day working. I'd LOVE to know what Andy Reid does with that time because it didn't look like he spent 2 minutes watching film. Giants with 12 sacks, PATHETIC. GIANTS SUCK AND THEY GOT 12 SACKS!!! It's gonna be a long season.

Andy hung Winston Justice out to dry in his first start without giving him some help just like he used to do to Runyan 5 years back when Strahan was the most dominate DE in the NFL. What is it going to take for the ownership of this team to to realize that Reid, and his Offensive strategy is not wokring, never was consistent and will never work. 49 called pass plays( I counted the sacks and the McNabb runs) 17 called runs. Buck was gashing the Giants. Why wouldnt you pound the rock? Reid failed to make the necessary adjustments and he knew what was going on but blatantly kepy throwing because he thinks his way of passing the ball is the right way. I really feel bad for Winston Justice today and I hope Reid didnt ruin this guys confidence for his career. He got the short end of th stick last night and I think his Head coach knew but is too stubborn to go away from his system. Yoy know Spags just said dont even worry about the run, just go after the QB. He knew we wouldnt keep pounding the ball.
I think we need to get Andy out of here before there is long term damage to this team.

G, The Phillies are a great story, but I am a Birds fan at heart. I think Andy Reid should resign today for the sake of the Philadelphia fans. It is obvious by his play calling and inability to make game adjustments, that his mind and his heart is not into coaching football this year. And, we, the fans, are the ones that pay the price for his errors. Andy, please resign today, go home, look after those kids of yours, and do the Philadelphia Eagles fans a favor, because your incompetence is killing us!!

I think these changes have happen for Eagles to get back into it.
1. Reggie Brown and the Freak should benched for Avant and Thomas.
2. Can Andy Reid please start putting Kevin Curtis in motion I think its the only way he can get open.

How arrogant were the Eagles today to not give Justice any help the ENTIRE game. And the game plan sucked. You have a DEF Coord who spent the last 7+ years with you, he basically knows you inside and out. To me it seemed the running game was working. D. McNabb was getting killed, and where are the receivers. Boy did the Eagles miss Westbrook, and they are missing LJ Smith. Those other 2 are not threats. The Eagles need to get healthy and these 2 weeks are big for them. Oh where, oh where has Reggie Brown gone, oh where, oh where can he be… long 2 weeks.

I have defended McNabb too long now. Seeing what Favre is doing with no receivers and no RB, I am starting to see things from a different perspective. The great QB's make the players around them better, I just don't see McNabb doing that. Do you? Do you think any of the great QB's would have just let sack after sack happen tonight and not get in someone's face? Where is the emotion? Why continue to drop back sack after sack after sack? Ever hear of rolloing out of the pocket?
I also think Reid is a sleep at the wheel. Its 9 seasons now, time for a change. What is the worst that can happen, no Super Bowl?
I have to take the rose colored glasses off. Reality of what the Eagles really are has set in. The truth is the Eagles have played well for only 2 quarters this season (first half of last week), the rest below average to average.
