Andy Reid and his staff must rely on the strongest area of the Eagles offense. I believe it's their offensive line when they're healthy. It's surely not their passing attack which has been inconsistent and unreliable.
The Birds offensive line must dominate the line of scrimmage with their running game, if they're going to get the team's offense going in the remaining three quarters of the season. This group must get healthy and dominate the same way they did a year ago by wearing down opposing defensive lines with a punishing running game.
They've got to get playmaking running back Brian Westbrook back in the lineup He's the one weapon they have which opposing defenses can't find a strategy to stop.
The scouting report against Donovan McNabb and the Eagles receivers is play man-to-man because Five won’t throw the football until the Eagles receivers are wide open. McNabb is much more comfortable working against zone defenses which the Detroit Lions played. He doesn’t have enough confidence in his receivers to let the ball go early. McNabb doesn’t presently have the foot speed to buy time with his legs to create problems in man-to-man coverage. The Eagles receivers have trouble against man-to-man press technique. Curtis has the speed to make plays when he can release easily. They need to run some plays for Reggie Brown in order to get him going. They’ve got to come up with solutions if their passing offense is going to get on track.
