From Robert, Garry,When they make a decision Banner, Reid and Heckert all sit down and discuss it together. But as stated many times the man who controls the money has the final say.
We don't need great players or even good ones? Their system is so superior that players are nothing more than interchangeable parts. No player is above the system. Alot of this comes from the top down. They are very reluctant to give out big time dollars and average players only cost average dollars. Might that be a directive to Reid and Heckert from Banner They have given out some big contracts but to the wrong players and probably not enough.
They are not cheap just misguided on how and when to pay players.
They really did not want to resign Westbrook. The plan was to let him go and Ryan Moats a similar player would take over. But this all occurred during the T.O mess. It would have been a PR disaster. That's why they gave him the extension. Moats on the other hand was and is just plain dumb.
Their draft picks don't even dress. The fact that they are so deep is really window dressing because they stink at player evaluation and development. This is not redshirting College Freshman.
You are better off with a rotation than a few superstar players?
You keep your players fresh. What makes a great player is when he is beaten down he reaches back for that 2nd wind and pulls a handful of big plays out of the bag late in the 4th qtr.
And finally the most important question?
When Andy and even some higher ups in the organization duck questions, lie and play spin doctor isn't that an insult to the people who forked out millions to pay for that stadium (public funding) and thousands for those who by tickets and all their merchandise. If you pay that kind of money you deserve a respectable response when something is not going right.
If Andy is not giving answers might someone cross the line and bring up his family issues? Almost like strong arming him (And we know how they react when strong armed) Hey Andy, answer the questions about your team or else?
