Riley Thinks Reid Will Trade McNabb

From Riley, Hey G, Again, I want to than you for the posting of all of our opinions on this media outlet. This represents a great outlet for us to vent our concerns over a franchise that we've grown up with and all love so well.

Unfortunately, it is being held hostage by a arrogant ownership and management that doesn't understand this fan base and the suffering we've endured for so long. It is my opinion that this ownership is more concerned about their personal agendas, than the integrity of giving their very best for this city and the franchise that is held in their public trust.

Unfortunately for all of us as Eagle fans, I agree with Vishal. I beleive, as he does, that this era of Donovan McNabb and the great players over the past ten years is over. Let's not get it twisted, most of these great players we've cheered over that period were draft picks of Ray Rhodes and Tom Modrack. Andy may have added a few players here and there, but mostly, he has not done a great job in replenishing the squad.

As we all know, Donovan never really had a full complement of players on the offense that could propel him to his full abilty as a quarterback.

Having said that, I beleive that AR will do the complete opposite for Kevin Kolb. Not because he likes him more, or anything like that. But, because of what Kolb is.

Kolb was drafted for a very good reason! Kolb ran a version of the spread offense in Houston. Additionally, he also had a complement of players that could run the system with him. Therefore, it wasn't about Kolb so much as the players around him. This philosphy is the complete opposite of the Donovan McNabb philosophy of the franchise quarterback.

Here is the point. AR runs a similar type of spread offensive system. AR runs a spread version of the BYU spread from the Lavell Edwards' school of thought. It is a huge misnomer to say that AR runs a pure WCO. Contrastly, he runs variations of the WCO, but not a pure WCO. More often than not, AR is spreading the ball around out of multiple receiver sets. Marty runs more of the pure WCO akin to the 49ers  80's and 90's. However, when AR calls the plays, they are all over the place.

IMO, AR is going to jettison McNabb, b/c he wants to have someone that will run his spread schemes to "perfection". This draft he will reach out to complement Kolb with a complement of "talented receivers" to complement Kolb. Why waste that on McNabb since he won't be here. (e.g Stallworth)
My bet he will draft Donnie Avery to complement  Kolb since they played together in Houston. He will probably look to draft a receiving FB/H-back like Owen Schmitt, because he is tired of seeing Tapeh drop catchable balls.

In reality, AR believes in the Pats system more than he cares to admit. He has drafted a not as higly ranked quarterback, as they did a few years ago. (However, no one knew he's a future HOF QB!)

I think he sees the vision a pinpoint passer, but not necessarily someone that was considered to be a franchise quarterback. Ultimately, he likes to spread the ball around and likes that style of offense which is also similar to what the Pats do.

In my opinion, Donovan will be gone. Because of money? Yes! He is due to make a boat load of it. But, more importantly, I believe it is tied to AR's ego!!! He needs to show everyone that it wasn't his poor coaching or playcalling, in as much as it was Donovan's inability to capture his vision. (sarcastically)

Sadly, one of the greatest players in Eagles history will be let go by the same person that said he would never let him down. God speed DMoney
