From Ben, This is exactly why McNabb will be driven out of town. Crazy media types that think they are doing Eagle fans a service by creating tension. I love when a media member says "I'm just doing my job."
Does your job include taking things out of context so you get the article you want? I think not. Not too many in the media actually really care about the Eagles. They care about selling papers and having their voice heard. My opinion if you need to do all that dishonesty to have that job then maybe you need to realize that you aren't any good at your job. If they know there are fans out there that will read articles that portray McNabb as the bad seed they will do whatever they can to create that article.
Wording questions certain ways or taking things out of context. Anything to get what they want. I am so glad there are members of the media like you Gary that want to report the truth and care about the Eagles, but unfortunately there are too many vultures out there looking to make a name for them self.
It's not like McNabb didn't create the opportunities for the media to attack him with his bad play, but do we have to kick him when he's are down. He's having a not so stellar season coming off major knee surgery and because of that the vultures pounce. The most pathetic thing about the whole thing is when an organization caves into fan pressure because of media reports.
I as a fan don't put too much thought into most media reports out there. Most media members care about one thing first and foremost……their job. And thats the first thing I think about anytime I read any article. Especially an article bad-mouthing anyone. Whats the one thing that sells and is the easiest to create? …..controversy.
