From Frank, G- I agree with you on how negative philly is. The first thing you hear after yesterdays win on the post game was "Eagles won but didnt play well".
A win is a win and I give the Eagles credit for getting it done at the end of the game when they could of easily folded up when McNabb fumbled. They did what the teams did in the past here and came up big when needed. I think its a great trait of a team when they havent been playing well to turn it on at the end of a game and get a W. That alot harder then winning 56 to 21.
I will also give AR credit. I am usually Anti-Reid but I have to say they ran the ball yesterday and when he went for it on 4th and inches in our own territory was a gutsy and I think the right call.
Alot of people are saying the Skins gave us the first touchdown but committing penalties. I say too bad thats a part of the game. Comitting penalties is and always is a part of winning and losing . Just watch the games every week and you will see a team shooting themsleves in the foot with penalties and the opponent taking advantage of it. I think you cant kill the Eagles for that thats just reaching.
How can people still be criticizing McNabb? Why does the media want him out of here? Jevon Kearse, Darren Howard, Sean Considine, William James, have all played worse and have done more to hurt this team than D Mac and you dont hear anything about them. Juqua Thomas should be starting at DE.
My final thought is on what you wrote about our DB techniques. How and why would you teach your D backs not to play the ball? They teach kids in pop warner to play the ball all the way up to college to play the ball. If thats is true I would fire ther coach who is teaching that. I cant imagine it is JJ . I have to think that is Harbough.
From Charles, G, What's going on with the Defensive line. Trent Cole is playing every snap of the game and he looks tired. Why is no one over there alternating with him. You got 3 guys on the other side that they are splitting snaps and you have one on the other, that doesn't make sense. I read an article where the Kearse swith made a difference. What game were they watching. Abiamiri and Thomas had no impact on the game. Move one of those guys to the other side with trent and rotate the 4. I like Mikell, he has that IT, and he doesn't miss tackles. Pressure was non-existent yesterday. They better get it together or they will get killed by the PATS. Side Note: What do you think the city would do if D. Mac threw 5 ints in a game like Peyton did.
From Steve, Hi G, I was listening to you last night on WIP. ( I love it when you are on)Your co host was talking about McNabb saying that a team loses,not just the QB. YOur co host was arguing that a leader doesn't seperate himself from the team like that. HUmm? How about payton Manning trashing his line after a playoff lost the year before the colts won the Super Bowl & actually disrespecting the wishes of his head coach, That tunnel vision aganst McNabb in philly is an awesome thing. Unfortunetly also a stupid thing.
