From Michael, G, I love the site, and read it every day. With all due respect, your position on the McNabb situation is becoming tiresome. In reality, it is equal and opposite to your counterparts; equal in nature, and hardly productive.
Nothing is ever that black and white. The truth, as with most things, usually lies in between. Your constant McNabb support in its' own small way, is contributing to this mess.

From KG, G, I really used to love your site, but your McNabb bashing is getting old. You are either trying to stir up more negativity against the guy or you just want to be able to say, "I told you so" if and when they do trade him. I've said this before, not giving DMac weapons, a new offensive scheme, and the added time to get his knee back to 100% is a mistake. Anyone that wants him gone after this year is near-sighted. Reid is the problem. McNabb certainly has his faults, but he's got to play w/ the people and the scheme that is given to him. I'll steal a page from your playbook so I can be the one who said 'I told you so' —trading McNabb after this year is a big mistake. Bird fans will watch this guy Excel in some other town if we get rid of him. Remember this (I've said this one before too)– Elway won TWO SB's after knee surgeries. What did the Broncos do? They got him TDavis and some time after the surgery to recover. Remember this as well, Elway took them to the SB earlier in his career against the Skins, but they stuck it out w/ the guy until he was able and given the tools to produce.
Get rid of Reid the GM and coach or at least bring in a new offensive coordinator that actually calls the shots and along w/ some weapons, we'll see if #5 has anything left in the tank.
In the meantime, get off of your soapbox G. Trying to predict the future of #5 mentioning it in EVERY ARTICLE you are writing is getting really old.

From Frank, G- Eagle fans get ready for the dark years. The damage that has been done and the careers wasted by Andy Reid and his flawed system coupled with his arrogance and stubbornness will hurt this team for along long time. Let’s first take a look at the careers wasted.
Donovan Mc Nabb: With the pass happy offense and the lack of playmakers at the WR position and the unwarranted hits he has to take has ruined him. If we had playmakers, a balanced offense, and a different coach with a different system, god knows how good have been. Donovan, be glad you are going to get out of here. I wish I could switch teams .
Brian Westbrook: All we heard was how he wants able to carry the ball 30 times a game. That was Reid’s excuse to keep throwing the ball. How can you say he can’t when you never gave him a chance? We are seeing now that this was all propaganda, and how good this guy is. Unfortunately, he won’t get the touches he needs with Reid entrenched here forever. If I was Brian I would give back the money they overpaid me and ask them to trade me to another team.
Offensive Line: These are guys monsters who love to run block but their careers will be over and they will never get used properly. With this line B West could run for 2000 yards and we should have had at least 1 ring. These guys will have to live with that after they retire knowing this.
Brian Dawkins: A hall of fame Safety and an Eagles legend who deserves a ring but passing the ball is more important than rings so Weapon X will have to retire without a ring.
Now let’s talk about the damage Reid has done. This guy just doesn’t do what’s best for the team to win. Time and time again we see him call plays that make you wonder if the guy is sane. I am still not over the Carolina championship game when we were steam rolling the Carolina D and Reid felt it necessary to throw in the Red zone, with Ty Detmer to boot!!!! Does this sound familiar? Of course it does. We just did it 4 years later against the Pats with a different QB but with the same stupid play calling. Can you count how many game losing picks we have thrown with Reid in charge? How many times do I have to see us throw 65% of the time and have to listen to this pompous coach give us a non answer and don’t press him because he will get snippy and talk down to you. I am convinced that if we could run the ball every single play and gain 10 yards, Reid would find a way, and an excuse to throw it. He wants to win but he wants win with his system so he can be known for his offense. How many games do we look back and say why weren’t we running the ball more? If you look at the structure of the team, we are built to RUN the ball! Guess who is in charge of that too?
With the teams we had we should have been in 3 Super Bowls and had a ring. Don’t you think if John Gruden was our coach we would have had a ring by now? For years this guy has escaped criticism while Donovan has to hear garbage even when when he is hurt. It’s about time we look at these facts are talked about and stop criticizing McNabb and realize that it’s Reid’s fault where we are and where we are going. Let’s do it now because do you have any faith in him making all the decision for the next few years?
