Ravens Interview Eagles John Harbaugh

According to ProFootballTalk.com the Baltimore Ravens are interviewing Eagles defensive backs coach John Harbaugh.  Last year, Harbaugh switched from special teams coach to defensive backs coach so that he might have a shot at eventually becoming a head coach.

Here's the article as it appeared in ProFootballTalk.com.

With the interviews completed of assistant coaches currently working for teams having first-round playoff byes, the Ravens have now commenced the process of speaking with assistants from teams whose seasons already have ended.

Per Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Ravens will interview Eagles defensive backs John Harbaugh and Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.  Harbaugh, who also has served as special teams coach in Philly, is on the radar of many league insiders as a candidate to become, eventually or perhaps right now, a very good NFL coach.  His brother is Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh, who twelve years ago nearly took the team that used to play in Baltimore to the Super Bowl.

The Ravens, according to Schefter, plan to interview eight to ten candidates in the first cut of meetings, and then decide whether to conduct second interviews.  Prior reports indicate that the Ravens identified as many as 30 candidates for the job.
