Brady and Belichick Are Hard To Doubt

The New York Giants are playing better football right now than the New England Patriots, but Bill Belichick will have two weeks to prepare his defense for the game and Tom Brady will be the guy running the Patriots offense.

The Giants defensive front have pressured Jeff Garcia, Tony Romo and Brett Favre into mistakes, they've got the difficult task of trying to do the same thing to Brady. He didn't play well against the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship game, but it'll be tough to assume he'll have another game like that with so much on the line.

New York defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will pick his spots to send blitzes at Brady. He's got to make sure to take away Randy Moss and force the Patriots to beat them with their running game and short passing game. Spags will force New England to be patient, then he's got to force "Terrific Tom" into a mistake or two.

Belichick's defense isn't dominant but you know he's going to have some tricks in store for Eli Manning and the Giants. He will first try to take away their running game so that he can get Eli and the Giants passing game isolated. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin and offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride will have to be ready to adapt to what Belichick is giving them.
