Donovan McNabb was just on ESPN’s Sportscenter and he reiterated that he wants to be in Philadelphia. He also stated again that he thinks they should bring in some playmakers all over the roster than can help immediately.
Uh oh! The sky is falling! How could he say this?! I’m sure we’ll hear some reactions similar to that, but I hope not. I would worry about the quarterback of an 8-8 team saying that the team should just stand pat and not add anyone that could help them win more games.
I’ve seen some rumors that think McNabb is trying to talk his way out of town, and that he doesn’t want to be here anymore. We all know that he will say all the right things publicly, but I have confirmed that it’s actually true. I spoke last week to a source close to McNabb who said that he absolutely still wants to be in Philly and that he’s looking forward to brining a championship to the town.
I have confidence he can get it done, but like he said, he’ll need help.
