The stupid front office of the Arizona Cardinals agreed to not only give Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald a $40 million dollars over 4 years, he's also been granted a no-trade contract to guarantee that he can control if and when he is ever traded from the Cards.
If this deal had been done ten days earlier, the Cardiinals would have been able to sign a number of key free agents. In stead the Cards had to sit by and see former All-Pro offensive guard Alan Faneca formerly of Pittsburgh Steeler sign with the New York Jets. Faneca wanted to play for the Cards and his former coaches Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm.
A day late and a dollar short has been the story of the Cardinals franchise. They're regarded as the cheapest franchise in the league.and don't disappoint when it comes to making dumb moves. This move opens up $8.8 million dollars of salary cap space for the Cards.
