Sweed May Be The Guy If Wrist Is Okay

Texas wide receiver Limas Sweed is regarded by some as the best wideout in this year's draft.  He can do it all.  Sweed has the speed to get deep and the size to go up and take the ball away from defenders.  His main problem is his injured wrist.

He broke his wrist this past season and missed seven games.  He then reinjured the wrist at the Senior Bowl and there are still questions about it.

Most scouts believe if the wrist can hold up he's the most complete and talented receiver coming out.  The wrist has really thrown a wrench into his plans.  We'll see what happens with him but he's a special player and a true playmaker.  A number of scouts have said he reminds them of that Owens guy who plays for the Cowboys.

At his recent pro day at Texas he ran a 4.4 forty yard dash while standing 6'4" and weighing 216 pounds.  They checked his surgically repaired wrist and it looked fine.

I don't think the Eagles are going to grab a wideout in the first round but if they were, this guy would be hard to pass up.
