The Giants are talking to the New Orleans Saints about trading All-Pro tight end Jeremy Shockey. Shockey was hurt late in the season and missed the New York run through the playoffs to a Super Bowl win.
Former Philadelphia Eagle and current coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Herman Edwards has accused Tampa Bay and St. Louis of tampering with players before the players are officially on the market. You know this is something that needs to be looked into because it's done all the time by NFL teams. This was just a day after the San Francisco 49ers were piinched for tampering with Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.
Although Brett Favre had the big news conference and did all of the crying about leaving the NFL but he hasn't filed his retirement papers. Favre is still taking up room on the Packers salary cap list.
