This draft isn't strong in linebackers.
Keith Rivers of USC is clearly the best linebacker in the draft. He's got great size and speed. Rivers makes plays from sideline to sideline and he plays the run and the pass equally as well.

Second on the list is Dan Connor of Penn State. He's very versatile and capable of playing both inside and outside. He's an outstanding tackler and technically sound in all aspects of the game.

Erin Henderson of Maryland has quickness and playmaking ability but he's not powerful at the point of attack. He's a second rounder at best but will be an immediate contributor on the special teams.

Jerod Mayo of Tennessee is much like Henderson in that he's an explosive athlete. Mayo brings the heat when he hits but he lacks consistency and isn't ready to start immediately on the NFL level.
Here's Mayo jumping 40.5 at the combine. That's extraordinary for a guy his size.
