Otah Has Solid Workout On His Pro Day

Pittsburgh offensive tackle Jeff Otah showed up leaner and ran better times in his Pro Day than he had at the combine.

Otah had ran forties in the 5.5 range at the combine.  He was weighing in at 335 plus pounds at the time.  He weighed in at about 323 pounds and ran a 5.28 and 5.31.   I still don't think big Otah is ever going to play left tackle which is what the Eagles need.

They think Winston Justice can play right tackle but I have my doubts.  They'd like to get a left tackle and I don't think Otah is the guy.

Andy Reid has made it clear that he's willing to move All-Pro right guard Shawn Andrews to left guard if that what it takes to fill the need at the position when Tra Thomas decides to hang it up.

That means the Birds will be prepared if they can't get the left tackle they'd like to get in this draft.  They're ready to make whatever adjustments are needed.

It also means they could select another position other than the offensive line with that first pick.  So we can put one and two together and realize that the Eagles might make a wide receiver, safety or defensive end their first pick.  I wouldn't make trading up or down impossibilities.

Stay tuned.
