The only way you can be happy about the Eagles trading down
is if they use next year's first round pick that they got from the Panthers as trade bait to get a top wide receiver this year.
Hopefully the Birds made that trade with the Panthers with knowledge that they could acquire a top wide receiver with that pick. It's all about now in the NFL.
Any pick that they get next year won't help the team until 2010. The Birds shouldn't be using draft picks in 2008 to help the 2010 football team. If I were Donovan McNabb I would be pissed.
