Donovan tried to put the pressure on the Eagles front office but they've turned the spotlight back on him.
The Eagles refusal to select a playmaker with their first pick in the draft, and subsequent trade of that selection into 2009 means the Birds are putting all the pressure on McNabb.
I hope they’re right in their thinking that they’re a playoff team once 31-year old Donovan McNabb is back close to 100%.
That’s obviously the thinking of the Nova Care Complex because it doesn’t make sense for a team that missed the playoff just four short months ago to not be able to find a player on the board at the 19th who can make them a better football team.
I guess they feel that it’s McNabb’s job to make the lackluster weapons on the Eagles offense better. He may be able to do that but it will still make the Birds a playoff team and not a Super Bowl winner.
I think it's flawed thinking because the Birds went into all those NFC Championship games.
