I could see that Bryan Smith has the frame to put on weight.
Smith isn't 230 like I had read he was. This kid is bigger than I thought and he'll get bigger naturally as he gets older.
He told me he's weighing about 245 lbs, so he'll have no problem being big enough to come flying off of that corner. I think he'll fill out until he's weighing 260 or 270.
At first I didn't understand why the Birds grabbed this kid so early but after checking him out in person, I can see why. That doesn't mean he's going to be able to compete on this level but I can see what the Birds saw when they grabbed him.
He got a good word of approval from William Thomas who said the kid has that burst. I could see that at the first mini camp. At his size he has to have the burst.
He's another good kid. The Eagles do an outstanding job of getting good kids. Trevors Laws is a good kid as well. I say that meaning these youngsters have the bright eyes and eagerness to show what they can do on this level. They don't tend to get kids who have obvious issues and negative attitudes..
