Plaxico Looking For New Contract

Plaxico Burress who caught the winning TD pass in the Super Bowl,

showed up to the Giants mini camp but isn't going to participate until he gets a new contract.  Burress had a lot to do with the Giants winning the Super Bowl.

Jeremy Shockey who is still rehabilitating from the broken leg he suffered last season, showed up for the camp as well.  He won't practice because of the injury.

This is going to be a true test for celebrated Giants General Manager Jerry Reese who had the great draft that helped propel New York to a Super Bowl Championship.

He dominated former Eagle and All-Pro cornerback Al Harris in the NFC Championship game.  Burress' height and athleticism are many times too  much to deal with for a cornerback.

He played much of the season on a bad ankle and didn't practice most of the year.  He did his usual number on the Eagles Sheldon Brown.  He practically took a TD pass off of Brown's head in the Giants win up at the Meadowlands.

He caught a slant for a TD versus Brown in the game at Lincoln Financial Field.
