Donovan McNabb understands the Giants post Super Bowl distractions.
Eli Manning has two of his top receivers in disputes with the front office.
McNabb was in a similar situation in 2005 after the Eagles had gone to the Super Bowl, when Terrell Owens started a public war with him and the Eagles front office in pursuit of a new contract.
Their number one receiver Plaxico Burress wants a new contract but the Giants have refused to meet his demands. Their tight end Jeremy Shockey who is recovering from a broken leg and hurt feelings because many of his critics say that his injury was one of the keys to the Giants Super Bowl success.
Shockey is reported to have demanded a trade out of New York.
McNabb talked to the New York Daily News about the situation.
"A lot of people learned from my situation and know how to handle it differently," McNabb said. "I tried to do the right things. When it comes to business situations, it's tough. I think the Giants will try to keep it low-key and keep it under wraps. I am anxious to see how it all plays out."
