Favre Says Pack Is Telling Untruths

I saw Brett Favre on Fox News last night and he had quite a bit to say about Packers management.

He said Packers General Manager Ted Thompson has told some (untruths).  He refused to just come out and call him a liar. Favre said that Thompson is saying one thing publicly and saying something else privately.

According to Favre, Thompson has told him that there are no opportunities for him In Green Bay, that the Packers are ready to move on and that he could only come back as a backup.  On the other hand publicly he has said something else.

The future Hall Of Fame quarterback said that Thompson and the Pack have been giving him signals for a while now that they want to move on.

Favre said he did everything he could do to help the Packers sign Randy Moss, including offering part of his own salary but Green Bay was only willing to offer Moss $1.6 million dollars a year.

Favre said the Packers told him Moss couldn't run any more and he would always take plays off.  Of course Favre pointed out that Moss went on to set the season touchdown catch record in the 2007 season.

Favre says the Packers told him they were seriously going after Moss but in reality were just going through the motions.   He said the fact that Moss was willing to leave a $9 million dollar salary in Oakland to play for $3 million dollars in Green Bay said a lot to him about Moss' mindset going into last season.

Moss' people had contacted me last off season in an attempt to get in touch with Donovan McNabb.  They did the same thing when he couldn't get a good contract offer from the Patriots this off season.

Moss and I have a close mutual friend.

Thanks for the tips on credit repair on all of this blog. What I would advice people is to give up the mentality that they can buy now and pay later. As a society we tend to do this for many things. This includes vacations, furniture, and items we want. However, you need to separate your wants from all the needs. While you are working to improve your credit score you have to make some sacrifices. For example you can shop online to save money or you can go to second hand stores instead of expensive department stores for clothing.
