The Eagles don't have enough talent to replace Brian Westbrook.
Westbrook is short but he's built powerfully, that's why he can take the pounding which comes with running the football.
You can't say the same about Lorenzo Booker. Booker is short and thin. I would guess that he weighs between 178 to 188 pounds at the most. He can't replace Westbrook as a runner.
I think he is capable of doing some of the things Westbrook does in the passing game as a pass receiver but there's no way he can carry the ball more than five or six times a game. He's so small I think he could be snapped.
The idea of Correll Buckhalter replacing Westbrook is nonsense as well. Buck is a decent back but Westbrook is truly a special player who is their number one weapon.
Buckhalter doesn't have the explosiveness or escapability that Westbrook has. How many times have we seen number 36 come out of a pile or another situation where he was sure to be tackled.
He's probably the best all around running back in the NFL. He does everything well.
Tony Hunt shouldn't even be mentioned in the conversation because he hasn't proven yet that he's capable of playing in this league.
