McNabb Praises Brown Not Jackson

Donovan McNabb praised Reggie Brown as having the best camp of all the receivers and downplayed the success of DeSean Jackson.

McNabb seemed intent on protecting Brown who has to be feeling the pressure from Jackson.  He said he's anxious to get Brown, who is nursing a hamstring,  back in the lineup.

He thinks Jackson's success is because of the vanilla defenses which you see in the preseason.  He said he has seen this before in that everybody gets worked up by a few catches then the player fades in the regular season.

He thinks Jackson has a lot of talent, but he wants to wait longer to see how the kid pans out.

He doesn’t think he should be compared to the Carolina Panthers' Steve Smith yet.  He thinks it's too early to be doing that.

He continued to push the notion that the team should call plays for L.J. Smith and Kevin Curtis, so that Brian Westbrook doesn't get overworked.

He says he’s comfortable with the offensive line.

McNabb said Jimmy Rollins was just saying the way he felt.  Jimmy’s a good friend of mine and he’s sure they’ll pull themselves out of it and go on a win streak.

With regard to him being a roommate here with Brian Dawkins, he said he sees them being here for another four or five years.  He said their main focus is to hoist up the Lombardi trophy, together.
