Exactly two plays. McNabb threw the ball to the kid, the first two plays of the game. I tried to tell everybody that the Eagles were scamming everybody talking about they couldn't possibly be thinking of asking too much of the kid.
Once the kid makes a play downfield, it opens up everything. The safeties get scared and back up. They're slow coming up on runs and passes because they're afraid of getting beat deep.
He made a great play on a ball where Donovan had enough confidence in him to put it up there for grabs. Here you've got a receiver only 5'10" who McNabb believes in to the point that he will put the ball up there for him.
You know this catch is going to do nothing but give the "Kid" even more confidence as the game and season continues.
