Donovan McNabb says he can get back to a high level of play.
McNabb says he will be more conservative with the way he handles the football from now on. He plans on using his legs and the short throw to keep the sticks moving. McNabb says he'll probably turn down the deep throw and check it down to the short pass.
He said he doesn't expect to get benched again. McNabb thinks he can get out of the slump he's been in by continuing to throw the ball. He says it's like basketball, you just keep shooting.
I think he made a mistake by getting into how he wouldn't have taken himself out of the game on Sunday the way Andy Reid decided to do. He went into detail of his thinking which is going to do nothing but extend this controversy.
He joked a bit about playing the halfback position himself because of the injuries they have at that position.
He says that he's not the only problem with the offense.
Donovan joked quite a bit about how he found out he was starting again. Reid had told him to his face but McNabb joked around as if he found out through some fans or the media.
As far as I'm concerned, McNabb has to stop it with all the nonsense. This is not the time to play around.
Last night on his weekly radio show, Brian Westbrook said he had no problem with Reid benching McNabb.
