I've been saying it for a while now, the Eagles need to get Quintin Demps on the field as much as possible.
This kid has a huge upside and I could see him being a star in this league as a safety for many years to come. You see him running back kicks and making hits on the special teams but he should be on the field defensively.
This kid breaks on a pass as well some of the better safeties in the league. He had 18 or 19 interceptions in college. He was picking off passes in training camp.
The Eagles put Sean Considine on the field rather than this kid and Considine is always at the scene of the crime. After nearly every big play, you see Considine in the picture.
This season is going up in flames because of a play here and play there on both sides of the ball. The Eagles would have been better with another playmaker on the field. Remember I told you, this kid is a playmaker.
I said earlier in the year that he has the combination of size and speed to handle these tight ends who have been killing the Eagles.
Finally the Birds used to him to cover Cardinals All-Pro wide receiver Anquan Boldin in the Thanksgiving night game.
"We singled him up on [Anquan] Boldin a lot of times, and there's nothing like starting out with one of the best in the business," Reid said of Demps. "That was his first major action [on defense], and he challenged him all night. I thought he did a nice job."
