Donovan McNabb says he values his family more than anything in the world and is thrilled that his wife and children are doing fine.
McNabb says it's hard not to think about what his wife was going through the last few weeks while he wife was pregnant with twins. He said his situation was similar to Brian Dawkins who underewent a major ordeal.
He said there's a difference between "family love" and the relationship with the fans. McNabb says he knows he can always go home and know he can expect see the love in his daughter's eyes.
He says he hasn't thought anything about starting afresh somewhere else. He was asked the question in lieu of enduring a tough time in the season while at the same time nearing the birth of twins.
As for the Giants situation with Plaxico Burress, he said he does believe that protection is needed. He brought out the fact that Burress' teammate Steve Smith was recently robbed at gunpoint.
He said he doesn't presently have a gun but doesn't rule out getting one. He made a point to say that he won't tolerate somebody coming in house to do harm to his family.
McNabb said the Giant game is essential for the Birds to keep their playoff hopes alive. He said they've got to play well and stay away from turnovers.
The Eagles signal caller admitted that he does want to have a sitdown with Reid when the season is over.
