I have to take my hat off to Brian Westbrook after this one.
He was magnificent. He ran hard and wisely. BWest gave his linemen a chance to make their blocks then he would explode through the hole or look for a way to cut it back.
He was making people miss like only he can do. He was breaking tackles and coming out of the backfield on pass routes.
It was a historical day for Westbrook. He accumulated 203 yards of total offense for the day. He now has 9,085 for his career, surpassing Harold Carmichael (9,042) to become the franchise leader in yards from scrimmage.
The boys in the middle of that line who haven't been getting it done most of the year, came through when everything was on the line.
I give credit to Jamaal Jackson, Todd Herremans and Nick Cole for getting some movement in the middle of that line. if you noticed, Westbrook was cutting a lot his run back to the middle because they were getting movement.
The thing that's so amazing is the fact that if they can do this the Giants, they can do it to any of these other teams if they play with the right attitude.
