76ers head coach Mo Cheeks has been fired after the team has jumped out to a dismal 9-14 start to the seson.
Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager Tony DiLeo will take over this mess as interim coach.
There were high hopes for this team after they added Elton Brand to a squad that played very well down the stretch last season. DiLeo's challenge is going to be getting them to find an identity. Last year, they defended and then ran. And they ran up and down the court and it was very tough to stay with them. They won games this way despite not having a half-court game.
Now? They don't run, they don't play defense, they can't hit the three, can't defend the three and have no half-court offense. Sound like a winning formula?
