Should Have Played BWest Less

For those of you who weren't at the game, I could tell Brian Westbrook's legs were hurting last night.

I was following him when he was on the sidelines in between offensive possessions.  He was limping and stretching.

He was also running back and forth trying to get the kink out of his knee or ankle after a couple of tough hits to his legs.   They shouldn't have played him as much as they did during the second half.

I could see Andy stop him from walking onto the field for a number of plays but he should have done more of that because of the big picture.  You've got to have him healthy against the good teams.

Teams have so committed to stopping Westbrook that they could have given him more of a break last night when the passing game was clicking and Correll Buckhalter was available.

They've got to be smart with Westbrook who has a day less to get ready for the Washington Redskins.
