The New York Giants have made a few roster adjustments.
They cut 30-year old running back Reuben Droughns, as well as safety Sammy Knight and cornerback Sam Madison.¬† Madison is probably at the end of the road and Knight certainly is.¬† They’ve had good, long careers but it might be time to look for another line of work.
Droughns will get picked up by someone.¬† At the very least he can contribute on special teams. I think the Giants know they’ll be able to keep at least Brandon Jacobs in the backfield, because I can’t imagine they lose him and Ward and leave themselvs with just Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware.
The Giants also re-signed backup QB David Carr to a one-year, $1 million deal.¬† He’ll be in charge of watching helplessly from the sidelines as Eli Manning throws fluttering paper-airplane passes in the Meadowlands during the month of December.
