Bob Grotz of Delcotimes says Donovan McNabb and his agent Fletcher Smith are willing to meet with the Eagles at the combine in Indy.
McNabb and Smith have expressed their interest in sitting down with Eagles president Joe Banner and head coach and general manger Andy Reid to begin talks about another contract, as well as cleaning up from the benching that occurred at halftime of the game in Baltimore.
Donny Mac has talked about the meeting for a while but time constraints during the last couple of weeks have delayed it.
Those time constraints have been on the Eagles side of things because they've been having draft and free agency meetings.
Despite the time limitations, the Eagles need to get this thing done because free agent players will try to contact McNabb to get his opinion of the Eagles.
If the Birds want to have McNabb out there serving as an ambassador for the team, they should try to work out something with him immediately.
You know McNabb is ready to talk because he's been up at the Nova Care complex on a daily basis, according to general manager Tom Heckert.
McNabb feels like he hasn't been treated like a quarterback with the big time resume which he has. More than anything else, he feels like he was disrespected during the benching.
From what I understand, McNabb and Smith want the Eagles to show them how they feel by the contract which they're willing to offer..
