The Bengals haven't wrapped up a deal with wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh but they're trying desperately.
All Friday the Cincinnati front office were attempting to close a deal with Houshmandzadeh who is thought to be the best wide receiver available in this year's crop of free agents.
Of course the Bengals were negotiating against the curiousity of Houshmandzadeh who has to be tempted by the prospects of getting out on the free agent market and seeing what teams are willing to offer him.
The Bengals made a mad dash last night in hopes that they could get him to sign a deal before seeing where the market was. Now free agency has started and all bets are off.
I know that Houshmandzadeh as late as yesterday texted, that he was still interested in being an Eagle, but I don't know that it will happen. The Eagles are sitting on their hands.
