According to PFT, the Eagles have signed Shawn Andrews' brother Stacy Andrews to play the right guard spot for the Birds
It will mean having both of the Andrews brothers on the right side of the line.
Stacy is the older brother and the bigger of the two. He stands 6'7" and weighs 342 pounds but he could be a stabilizing force for his little brother who suffered from depression a year ago.
According to WIP's Anthony Gargano, the older Andrews isn't the best pass blocker outside so expect the Birds to slide Shawn outside to play the tackle position.
I know the knee injury wouldn't make things easier for him with those speed rushers coming around the corner.
It's going to be interesting to see how the two brothers play together. The deal is said to be for about $7 million dollars a year.
Here's what was written in the SportingNews.com.
"At this point, the structure of the contract isn't known as it relates to guaranteed money. Andrews suffered a torn ACL late in the 2008 season, and it might have prompted the Eagles to defer any large payments until March 2010, after Andrews proves that he is 100 percent.
The deal hinges on Andrews passing a physical."
