Runyan Feels No Betrayal By Birds

Jon Runyan said he doesn’t feel any betrayal by the Eagles signing of Stacy Andrews because "that’s the nature of the business".

This morning, Runyan was on ESPN950 with Jody MacDonald and Harry Mayes, talking about the developments in the NFL's free agency period.

He said the signing of Stacy Andrews means things don’t look very good for him when it comes to returning to the Eagles.

Runyan says he will take anything he get right now with regards to offers from the Eagles or other NFL teams until he sees whether he can pass a physical.

He said he would deal with things as they come along.  As far as what they Eagles have told him, Big Jon said the Eagles were non-committal when he talked to them.

They kept the door open but wouldn’t commit to bringing him back.

Runyan thinks there’s still a chance that Tra Thomas will be back.

He said he has a certain figure in his head that will have to met if he’s going to continue to play football.

Unfortunately his rehabilitation is going to be lengthy.  He’s been off his feet for four weeks already and has another four weeks to go.

It will be June before he can really starting rehabilitating his knee, so you knew the Eagles weren’t going to be waiting on him.

Big Jon seemed to be in good spirits.
