The Skins have signed free agent defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and given him a seven year $100 million dollar contract.
The agreement was reached on Friday and it makes Haynesworth football's first $100 million dollar defensive player.
He's got to pass a physical then they'll have a 5pm press conference.
$41 million dollars of the deal are guaranteed in the first three years of the deal. The contract could wind up being $115 million if Haynesworth reaches certain incentives.
The $41 million dollars is the most money ever guaranteed in an NFL contract.
I've already said that the Birds offense as it is constructed will have trouble moving the ball against the Redskins.
Every year the Skins cornerbacks jam the Eagles receivers and prevent from getting off the line. Now with Haynesworth lining up for them, the Skins will also have a pass rush to go along with the coverage.
How does a team which is supposedly right up agianst the cap, come up with the money to sign DeAngelo Hall for $54 million, then turn around and sign Haynesworth for $100 million?
The Eagles are sitting there at $48 millon dollars under the cap and they haven't busted a grape.
