Scout Inc’s Top 32 After Combine

Here are Scout's Inc.'s Top 32 prospects after the NFL combine in Indy.  They have four wide receivers rated in the top 32, which is a surprise.

OLB Aaron Curry had a great combine workout but you can't draft this dude very high in the first round and not have him rushing the passer off the corner.  An outside linebacker who doesn't get involved in the pass rush isn't as valuable.

Games are won and lost on 3rd down.  If you can sack the quarterback on 3rd down, you're invaluable to your team.  If you're covering backs and tight ends, it's not worth as much.

Jason Smith has moved up because he has all the tools plus he's mean which makes me like him even more.

Fatboy B.J. Raji is a very good athlete and he's quick as a cat.  He could wind up being the best pick in the top ten. Pass rush up the middle makes everybody on the defense better.

Notice the Eagles will have no problem getting Pettigrew with their first pick.  I looked at some video of him and he's a grown man.  He was Humphrey Bogarting linebackers and defensive ends as a blocker.

He's not a blazer but he'll give the Eagles something they need desperately which is some blocking by the tight end and another big sure handed target near the end zone.

Celek isn't good enough of a blocker to start at tight end. if they get Pettigrew with the first pick, the happiest Eagle will be Brian Westbrook.

They have Knowshon Moreno listed at number  14 which is a surprise because he didn't have a good time. I haven't seen a lot of video of Moreno but what I saw didn't impress me.  I''m gooig to look at some more.

I've heard the Eagles like LeShan McCoy of Pittsburgh.  I like him too but the Eagles had better get that running back pick right whenever they decide to get him.

I'm not sure that the Eagles hae settled on which one of the tackles they think they can get.  Originally they were falling in love with Jason Smith but he'll be long gone before they pick.

They've got decide on one of the other ones.
