The Eagles 2009 season will likely be decided within about 48 hours, which are the day before the draft and the day of the draft.
Even a guy who is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other one, can see that the Eagles haven't done much at point in the off season.
That's okay if they pull off a blockbuster trade or two on the day before or the day of the draft.
One thing they have done is stockpile draft picks. They have a total of 14 of them. Unfortunately most of them are in the latter rounds but they still have value.
We all know that they're not going to draft all those players. All those picks are like having a pocket full of money on your way into the mall.
It would be great if the Eagles added a veteran weapon, wide receiver, tight end or running back who could come in and contribute immediately. it would great if they were to a rece.
The Eagles need some veteran help at the tight end position. Yes they will draft a tight end but they need to also get a veteran backup instead of bringing back Matt Schobel.
You can't depend on rookies to come in and contribute. Sometimes they do like DeSean Jackson did a year ago but most of the time they don't. If you're serous about winning you can't take it for granted that you're rookies will be ready to deliver right away.
