Philly.com is reporting that the Eagles are in talks with Seahawks free agent fullback Leonard Weaver. So maybe they see that the Danny Klecko experiment wasn't a good idea.
According to Philly.com, Weaver's agent Harold Lewis says, "We're still in talks with the Eagles and a few other teams".
Weaver would be a definite upgrade if the Birds were to reel him in. He would make their running attack better and give them another pass catching threat out of the backfield.
They shouldn't lose the guy, even if they have to give him a few more bucks.
These are the kinds of things that cost the team dearly during the season. If you don't sign this guy and you have a fullback lead up into the wrong hole on key running plays.
If you want to have electrical work down you call an electrician. If you want woodwork done, you call a carpenter. If you want fullback work done, you don't call a defensive lineman, unless you're trying to save a few bucks.
Unfortunately the work doesn't get done properly.
