DallasNews.com reports that the Eagles have been talking to Cowboys safety Keith Davis. This veteran safety would be more solid depth at the position and special teams help for the Birds.
The news of the fact that the Eagles were talking to Davis, shows how they were leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of safety help after they lost Brian Dawkins.
Davis is a veteran safety who has reached that magical age of 30. You and I know that the three and the zero are not good things when you're talking to the Eagles.
He was probably viewed as a short term answer for the Birds in much the same way as the safeties which they signed.
I doubt that Davis will be shown much interest now by the Birds since they have signed veteran safeties Sean Jones and Rashad Baker.
Davis was also in talks with the Chiefs and the Redskins.
