Former Eagles wide receiver Donte Stallworth has been detained after he accidentally drove into a pedestrian who died Saturday morning on the eastbound MacCarthur Causeway on Miami Beach.
A police spokesman told the Associated Press that Stallworth’s car hit Mario Reyes, 59, who was crossing the causeway linking downtown Miami and Miami Beach around 7 a.m.
Stallworth was driving a black Bentley at the time of the accident. The vehicle suffered a great deal of frontal damage from the accident which according to the car accident and injury law firm in Massachusetts the insurance should pay in full.
