Terrell Owens shocked the Bills by showing up yesterday workout with his teammates. They will need T.O. and their passing game to start strong because Marshawn Lynch is suspended for their first three games.
Terrell Owens said he wouldn't be attending any Bills off season workouts which weren't mandatory. He must have changed his mind. According to BuffaloBills.com, Owens was at their facility working out with the team on Wednesday.
The Bills will be more dependent upon Owens and the team's pass offense to get off to a quick start this season because Marshawn Lynch will be sidelined for the first three games of the season. It's another case of one of these football players just being plain stupid.
He was arrested in Los Angeles for having an unregistered 9 mm semiautomatic handgun. In addition, the police cut Lynch some slack because they also found four marijuana cigarettes in his backpack, but didn't press drug charges.
It was the smell of the marijuana which caused the police to search Lynch's car in the first place.
Adrian Peterson wants to put on weight and get to 230 pounds. His head coach Brad Childress disagrees.
“Well, you know what? 230 is awful big,” Childress said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. “From 17 to 30, just put a 10-pound sack of potatoes on your back and think of how that works for you. . . .
“I think naturally he’ll add good weight as he goes through his career, but I think just adding weight to say, ‘I’m going to get 10 pounds heavier,’ probably doesn’t have a lot of merit to it,” Childress added.
I agree with the coach. Peterson is going to put on weight naturally as he gets older. The reason he wants to put on the weight is because of all the hits he has been taking.
Rather than trying to put on the weight, he should be talking to Childress about getting a better quarterback and a better passing game. Teams have been loading up against the Vikings running game and pounding Peterson.
It doesn't seem to be a matter of will an NFL player be stopped for DUI, it seems to be a matter of who will be stopped. Benglas cornerback Leon Hall was stopped at 3:11am in the morning and charged for DUI.
According to the police report, "had bloodshot eyes and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage upon his breath."
