As far as I'm concerned the Eagles are back where they were. They have a couple of quality offensive tackles in place in much the same way in which they had with Jon Runyan and Tra Thomas.
I congratulate them on what was a great move but let's not get it twisted. The Eagles haven't made any major improvements because they have quality young offensive tackles in place. They had done this before with Thomas and Runyan.
In order to make improvements they've got to add something they didn't have a year ago. The draft will be here a week from today and maybe they will grab a young talented running back, tight end or wide receiver.
There is no reason for Donovan McNabb to be giving his stamp of approval to a job that hasn't been completed. Should he be pleased that he has a Pro Bowler protecting his blindside? Yes he should but he's had that in the past.
What the Eagles need are additional weapons. They must get help at running back and tight end. Help at wide receiver isn't a must but it could take them to another level.
I think Anquan Boldin is out of the picture. I could still see them getting Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson because I think they could do it with Reggie Brown, a second or third round pick along with a fifth round pick.
if they made that move they would be a better football team.
