Lions agree to give Matthew Stafford a six-year, $72 million dollar deal with $41.7 million dollars of it guaranteed. Are you amazed like I am about all the money these teams give to guys who are totally unproven?
There's probably at least a 30-40% chance that this guy can't cut it on the NFL level. Chuck Long, Andre Ware and Joey Harrington were star college quarterbacks who were drafted in the first round by the Detroit Lions.
They all turned out to busts on the pro level. Harrington was the best of the trio but he's terrible.

This needs to changed.
