LeSean McCoy was a good choice by the Birds, but he does have some weaknesses.
McCoy didn't run with a lot of power at the college level, so you know you can't expect him to be running through tackles right now in the NFL.
He's going to need to get stronger.
Thankfully the youngster is only 20 years old and will naturally get bigger and stronger as he gets older. Expect McCoy to become a tougher guy to tackle every year he's here.
He's got the moves to make tacklers miss, but he's going to have more power as he gets older. Right now he's needs to get in the weightroom.
I also know that he's got his work cutout for him, when it comes to picking up blitzes McCoy hasn't had much experience picking up blitzes. He's going to have to learn to block or Andy Reid isn't going to be comfortable putting him on the field.
He seemed eager to improve this part of game last Sunday when asked about it.
McCoy said Reid liked the was picking up the offense, when they talked to him during the lead up to the draft. The youngster said picking up plays and learning an offense is one of his strengths.
