Hobbs: “America Is Built On Competition”

Former New England CB Ellis Hobbs doesn't have a problem being forced to compete for a job.

According to Hobbs, "America is built on competition."

He told us that he has been told he can't make it throughout his entire career.  As far as he's concerned, proving himself again is not a big deal.

Hobbs has talked to Asante Samuel, his buddy from New England.  He said Asante told him he would like it here.

Samuel told him he will fall in love with football all over again coming to Philadelphia to play.  Hobbs says they don't show the players a lot of love in New England because that's Bill Belichick and the Patriots' way of winning.

Down here he will be allowed to be more vocal and open.

He's willing to continue returning kicks and do whatever he has to do to contribute to the team's success.

Hobbs is known for his toughness.  He played with a torn groin and injured shoulder during the Patriots run to the Super Bowl.

He is ready to go and eager to learn the Birds' defense.

Hobbs is a sketch artist who majored in animation in college.  While in school, he had to draw live nude models.

His teammates in college joked with him about what he had to draw when he had to sketch nude male models. LOL
