Kevin Curtis and Todd Herremans missed the workout today because of surgeries.
Curtis, one of the starting wide receivers a year ago had the completion of last year's sports hernia surger
Curtis didn't have the total sports hernia surgery last year because they wanted to try to get him back as soon as possible, so he had the second part of the surgery today.
He's expected to be back when they have the next workouts.
This injury was one of the reasons that rookie Jeremy Maclin was getting plays with the first team. Maclin said Reid and the coaches were getting on him about gliding through his routes.
Maclin has a long stride and runs easy. He's got to improve his burst in and out of his routes. He's thinking quite a bit now while he's learning the system.
Back to Curtis, he had better hurry back or he could find himself being replaced, even though Maclin has a ways to go.
Left guard Herremans was missing in action today because he had arthroscopic surgery to clean out one of his knees.
Reid expects him to back in action in a few weeks.
